he did not finish them all
a practice I have tried to develop of not having any shame or guilt in dropping a book at any point. here are those, which I found great, and they hold a special place in my heart, but just I did not complete them.
Lust for life
one of the best books I have read,
I enjoy biography x fiction stories like this,
the story is about Vincent, and when you read it it makes you want to live more, it gives you more hope, it is just everything.
this is not all fiction (some conversations are imagined, however, events and happenings did really happen), it's hard for me to get excited for stuff which is not reality, I do enjoy fiction, but reality I like more. maybe, therefore, I like these kinds of books more than fiction.
if you think the same way as I do, these questions I am personally holding:
- if in reality, it didn't really happen, but if someone tells me it happened, how much significance does it change?
- harry potter is all inside my head, but why does it affect me more than Donald Trump did?
- what difference do a good fiction and a good religious story have?

Ways of Seeing
by John Berger
After reading it I was more excited about art, photos and paintings. The book is excellently written and designed. It feels like someone found something very special and exciting, so they are sharing with us what they have found, with the same excitement.
If you have a curious mind, and you want to know why people stare at a painting for hours, this book is for you
I have an extra copy of it, let me know if you want to be gifted by me

Also, check the 4 episodes by the author (the book and the episodes have the same content, but I found different values in either of them)

Green humour for a Greying planet
loved this book. this made me think a lot, of what actions of us affecting to nature, to the jungle and its animals and birds.

It's a comic and a critiqued humour, so if you are ready to face the truth do read it. has changed the way I live.
Great book to gift anyone

Give and Take
one of my favourite books till now (Jan 2022)
it's a book I think everyone should/must-read, and if you are working and connected with people, you must must must read it.
it's an easy read, with great research by the author. oh! and while you read, watch yourself fall in love with the author.

The defining decade
Meg Jay is a therapist and she works with people aged between 20 to 30,
and she writes down what are her intakes and what kind of problem people faces at this age.
it's a wonderful book, a must-read it if you're a teenager or in your twenties.
it has given me a lot of clarity
At this age, things are unclear and scary (least to me), at last, it gave me the courage to go through the uncertainty.

The psychology of money
If you are familiar with the book world, you may have heard about this book.
because the book simple tells (or told me) how is your relationship with money, how your biases and how your past has a great influence on it.
It is a must-read. if you are human and if you are connected to money in any way.
personally, it has a great impact on me.

sapiens
as the title goes, a brief history of humankind, that's all this book is the history of us; the history of sapiens.
I have always enjoyed listening or reading about history, I feel like I am reading fiction but a more realistic one.
even though in the end author does share his interpretations about the future of humankind, I really enjoyed the history part.
a graphic version of this book is out too, which I have seen, I think it's more engaging and fun, and the content, the information, I think is the same.
I would recommend this book to anyone at any age.

steal like an artist
its a small book, filled with illustrations and graphics. the type of book which you cant get bored of.
its not only for artist. it will get you more creative. but, if you dont consider yourself as an creative person its still for you (I think we all are creative and artists, but if your thoughts vary I mean no offence)
i would reccomend anyone who is a student or who wants to learn anything new or if you want to find out more about human nature, the list goes on.
you could even gift to someone without hesitation, they will find great deal of values

show
this blog, this website, is a product of this book.
i think first you should read steal like an artist, then this one.
Its a must read (i know i have been saying this about almost every book, but i mean it)
I haven't read any books which say things this easily and the was anyone could understand

your
work
keep
going
once you know how to be an artist (the first book: steal like an artist) and how to show your work (the second book),
you must know how to keep going.
this book is all about not how to not stop what you enjoy.
if you want to keep doing what you are doing, this is the book for you.

small giants
the book I think is written for me.
Small Giants is about 14 companies which had the choice to go bigger and go for the big numbers, but they chose to be better instead.
if you are like me who cares about values more than a balance sheet showing profit, who cares more about the people who surround him than him being famous, who is tired by where the world is going (big) and wants to go the other way (small)
then this book is definitely for you
and if you are not like the mentioned above, then this book is definitely for you

what it is
its a comic, worth the time you spend, worth the money you spend (the most expensive book I bought)
its the one which makes you think, think about the things you ignored, austin kleon wrote it on his website that this is the best book if you want to write more, and i couldn't agree more (even I have not read many books to be sure)
while you read it, you will know lynda barry has put her heart in this one, and it will force you to be vulnerable more ("vulnerability begets vulnerability"
-brene Brown)

the boy, the mole,
the fox and the horse
its a book you can read even if you are not a reader,
I can't tell for sure what will you get from this book, but I can tell you when I open it even for a page, there is a smile on my face
and when you complete the book, you will first want someone else to read the book, (that's what I observed in whoever read it)

daring greatly
I've reread this book many times I lost the count, maybe 4-5.
not because the book is very hard to read, but because I really wanted to jam down the concept of having courage and fight of shame and be vulnerable.
can't really say I am a fully vulnerable person, but the growth is there, and I could give you a lecture for it. and I could see myself lacking because of the knowledge I have.
so if you are a parent, if you love someone, if you want to lead, and if you are breathing this book is definitely for you.
and if you do, do contact me, would love to talk to you
one of my favourite books (March 2022)

check out the author's Netflix speech. (I don't encourage anyone to buy Netflix, she has other speeches even on youtube

it's a small book
but enough to show how I have been wrongly interpreted the idea of love, and how you and I are greatly influenced by this idea.
reading the book will give you knowledge, when you do what you know then I am sure you will find love, (I haven't done what it says, yet)
so I loved the book, I love all the products by School of life, they have soo many things to say in such small words

how to find love
the four agreements
it's a simple read, with only four agreements (for you, think of it as actions)
but even if you just nail down those 4 agreements in your life, I think you would live a much happier, and smarter life
I read it at a young age, and I think the younger you are the better, so the best time to read it is right now
